Group One Partners, Inc. Begins Design for Hilton Homewood Suites in Brookline

BOSTON - July 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Construction of a new Hilton Homewood Suites in Brookline, Mass., began earlier this month at 111 Boylston St. The 97,775-square-foot, 130-room extended stay hotel will occupy the space of the former Red Cab site that has been vacant for more than 20 years.

Group One Partners, Inc. – the hotel architect, interior designer, and purchasing agent – is working with Tocci Building Companies, R.W. Sullivan Engineering, and Goldstein Milano on the Claremont Companies’ property.

“This is an interesting project as the hotel is located on Route 9, a major east-west highway in the state,” says Harry Wheeler AIA, LEED, NCARB, principal of Group One.

“To meet Brookline’s Sky Plane zoning requirements, our design allows for five stories on the Route 9 side of the building while gradually decreasing to two stories on the back side. This provides an urban street-side profile while being respectful of neighboring housing and residents.”

The hotel is set to open in December 2015.
