PRLog - July 23, 2014 - While some might turn down the calling from their higher power, Sean Lyric has embraced this journey before him. Always attending church and his relationship with God growing stronger, it was the summer of 2014 Sean Lyric made a conscience decision to give his faith to God and start living by God words. As a result of this, he has taken the needed steps to push his music in a new direction.
July 22, 2014 Sean Lyric announced his musical transition from Hip Hop to Christianity. When asked why such a drastic change, he simply replied,
"I'm leaving the Hip Hop industry because I've learned that I'm better suited for making Christian Music...I won't exactly be doing "Christian Rap" per say. My craft has always been a mixture of rapping and singing so I don't really have a set position where I stand as to what I'll be creating in my music. What I do know is that I bring to Christian Music a different vibe and another genre within itself per say, I will not be rappy rapping, that's all a part of this whole transition as well.I crossed over because I just felt like this was my calling. I've grown in a christian family my entire life and still til this day it plays a huge part of who I am so I just felt that the crossover was more fitting for me entirely. Spiritually I need this because being a Hip Hop artist is very difficult while still trying to live by certain religious and christian beliefs whether its being at certain places to perform in an uncomfortable to other things that contradict the lifestyle I want to live".
Sean Lyric has always been a cut above the rest, this crossover proves he just might be cut from a different cloth altogether.
Be on the look out for Sean's first single entitled "Thank You Lord". With all that Sean has accomplished thus far, the title seems a fitting expression of his graditute for this occassion.
