Successful Cybercrime Investigation Training for African Delegation Group by Decision Group Inc. and

July 22, 2014 - PRLog -- In order to crash more and more fast growing cyber threats on Internet, National Police Agency of an African state sent a delegation group with 5 cybercrime investigators for cybercrime investigation training program held by Decision Group Inc. and National Taiwan Central Police University in Taipei, Taiwan from 7 to 11 July, 2014.

Crimes on Internet are versatile and keep on growing every year by different type of cyber fraud, phishing, identity stealing, blackmail and defamation…etc. On the other hand, cyber rumors and terrorism impact national security and social order more seriously than before. In order to prevent such crimes, law enforcement agency needs to implement a complete system from effective lawful intercept system for circuit and digital telecom networks, more data analysis adoption and entire set of criminal database, lawful interception law and cybercriminal code system, regular employee training by long-term development programs with the goal of anti-cybercrime.

The Training Delegation Group took five-day cybercrime Investigation and forensic training program in Decision Training center in Taipei. During this period, they received the lectures of e-evidence admissibility and preparation, concept of ISO 27037, data analysis for cybercrime investigation, nature and pattern of cybercrime case, network and IT systems used by cybercriminal from professors of National Taiwan Central Police University and senior cyber police in Taiwan CIB. In the meantime, Decision Group also delivered practical training on planning and operation of lawful interception equipment and data collection.

It was a successful training program and full of communication and interaction between all trainees and instructors for the entire training session. It also means that trainees cannot only learn lots of advanced cybercrime investigation skill from those senior cyber police, but both sides of Taiwan police and trainee can also build up a close tie to fight against trans-national cybercrimes together in the future.
