New Children's Book Dedicated to Overcoming Obstacles and Restoring Hope

LOS ANGELES - July 22, 2014 - PRLog -- Evolutionary Press Publishing today announced the release of a new children's book, The Most Beautiful Thing in the World. Written and illustrated to encourage children to push beyond their challenges and achieve their goals, the book tells the story of a young boy, who almost gives up on his dreams of flying, but thanks to an awesome mother, puts on a smile, and carries on.

Based loosely on real experiences, the story takes us around the world to some of this planet's most beautiful sites, while dealing with a devastating reality many children face, childhood blindness.

"I read an article recently titled The Apartheid of Children's Literature by Christopher Myers, and he stated 'too often today’s books remain blind to the everyday reality of thousands of children.' He was referring to children of color being outside the boundaries of imagination, and I wanted to be apart of the movement that brought them back in. Not just children of color, but children with disabilities as well," says writer Darnell Lamont.

The Most Beautiful Thing in the World is a book intended for Early-leveled readers, ages 5 - 8.
