“PCH is aggressively growing our team with proven experts in the online gaming and digital media space,” said Mark Cullinane, vp and general manager of PCH Digital. “James’ leadership skills and Jeremy’s monetization expertise will help take our popular Play & Win Portfolio to the next level and drive value for our loyal players, advertisers and PCH overall.”
Jones comes to PCH from Jagex Games Studio, an award winning games developer and publisher, where he served as Chief Publishing Officer. Prior to that, he was the vice president, creative production for the digital media and gaming division of Hasbro. Previously, at Turbine, Jones led two of the most successful online game launches with Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons and Dragons Online, including pioneering free to play in North America, with the extremely successful conversion of BAFTA award winning Dungeons & Dragons Online from subscription to free to play.
Avin comes to PCH from MGT Studios and Draftday, one of the largest daily fantasy sports platforms, where he served as general manager. Prior to that he was the CEO and founder of Avcom and built a network of sweepstakes and instant-win games played by millions of people across multiple channels.
“I’m tremendously excited to be joining the team behind PCH’s Play & Win products. In the crowded world of gaming PCH stands out by providing our audience great content AND the opportunity to win great prizes just for playing, why play anywhere else?” said Jones. “We are both excited to be joining the team and working to expand one of the largest networks of entertainment properties online,” continued Avin.
