Why We Need Time before Getting Used to Our New Glasses

 
July 21, 2014 - PRLog -- When we get our glasses, especially our first pair of glasses, we are usually informed that we may need several days before we can get used to our new glasses. Have you ever been informed of these words and do you know why?

In general, we may feel uncomfortable in some degree when we begin to wear new glasses. And here are the reasons.

1. If the lens power of your new glasses has increased largely, discomfort may be caused.

2. If the place of optical center has changed, discomfort may also be caused.

3. When we begin to wear our first pair of glasses, especially for those who are suffer from high myopia, we may feel uncomfortable because the image we see through glasses are different from what we can see without glasses. And it is this difference that we are not used to cause the discomfort.

4. If the assembling data of your old glasses have changed in the process of using, or the lenses of your new glasses are bifocal or progressive lenses, then you may feel uncomfortable at the beginning of wearing new glasses.

If factors mentioned above do exist, then it is possible and even unavoidable for you feel uncomfortable when wear new glasses. And all you need is time to let the discomfort disappear.
