Independent Opticians Voted ‘Best Place To Buy Your Spectacles’ In New Which? Report

LOUGHBOROUGH, U.K. - July 20, 2014 - PRLog -- The key highlights from the Which? survey included:

- Local independent opticians came top overell with a customer score of 88%

- Local independent opticians also achieved top ratings for customer service, staff skills and communication.

- Local independent opticians were also found to be more likely to fix a problem with glasses at no extra cost.

“Not all optician stores are the same and we found big differences between them.”

Independent opticians practices who operate in their local community are a vital rescourse with good links to the local GP's, and who also involved in a growing number of shared-care programmes with their local NHS hosptials, but still have lower overheads than High St chains and supermarkets that still allow them to offer terriffic value for money too.The Which? results do not surprise me at all, but I wholeheartedly agree with and welcome their findings. Its great for independent opticians such as ours to be recognised by Which? too.

Which? magazine surveyed 5,409 Connect members online in March 2014 about using opticians to have eye tests and buy glasses and/or contact lenses in the past three years. The overall customer scores are based on customers’ satisfaction with the store on their last visit and the likelihood of recommending it to a friend. As well as rating the store they used overall (customer score), customers also rated them on areas such as price and customer service.
