Mayor Rahm Emanuel proclaims July 19, 2014 as Beta Chi Theta Day in the city of Chicago

CHICAGO - July 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Current National President Prashant K. Kher stated, “It is inspiring and motivational to have Mayor Emanuel acknowledge our progress, hard work, and success throughout these past 15 years.  Our fraternity has grown and developed tremendously since June 2, 1999, and we feel honored to have the Mayor of the great city of Chicago congratulate us for all of our accomplishments and commend us on our 15 years of Brotherhood, Culture and Tradition.”

Former National President Mujteba Naqvi accepted the proclamation on behalf of Beta Chi Theta. He remarked, "this recognition is a testament of the excellence achieved by the brothers of Beta Chi Theta.  Our ideals serve as a compass for young men to steer themselves for their own betterment"

The 12th Annual National Convention is taking place over the July 18-20th weekend at the Inn of Chicago.  Over 150 undergraduate and alumni brothers from around the nation gathered for national updates, policy discussion, office hours, elections, and to celebrate the 15 years of existence of the national brotherhood.
