Mayor Rahm Emanuel proclaims July 19, 2014 as Beta Chi Theta Day in the city of ChicagoThe 12th Annual National Convention of Beta Chi Theta National Fraternity, Inc. in Chicago, IL was honored by Mayor Emanuel with a proclamation congratulating the fraternity on its success throughout these past 15 years, with becoming the youngest member and first of its kind to be accepted into the NIC, and its stellar growth to 25 chapters with over 1500 members. The proclamation also commemorated the event by proclaiming July 19, 2014 as Beta Chi Theta Day in the city of Chicago.
Former National President Mujteba Naqvi accepted the proclamation on behalf of Beta Chi Theta. He remarked, "this recognition is a testament of the excellence achieved by the brothers of Beta Chi Theta. Our ideals serve as a compass for young men to steer themselves for their own betterment" The 12th Annual National Convention is taking place over the July 18-20th weekend at the Inn of Chicago. Over 150 undergraduate and alumni brothers from around the nation gathered for national updates, policy discussion, office hours, elections, and to celebrate the 15 years of existence of the national brotherhood.
