PRLog - July 18, 2014 - FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Alexander The Great by the age of 25 had conquered 90% of the known world during his meteoric rise as a Greek King. His ability to command, take charge of his army and drive them past exhaustion while creating an atmosphere of pride and loyalty proved to the world that his intellect and luminosity as a leader was truly impossible to contend with.
Alexander ventured further into hostile countries past hills, mountains, seas, deserts, wild steppes and various weather. He pushed past starvation, drought, disease and the doubts of others to find himself at the pinnacle of both a warrior but also a king.
Even as one of the most feared and respected commanders of his time he nevertheless had his own fears to contend with. The Spartans always looked for an adversary they claimed would someday be for them a good death. Alexander never feared this. His contention was that while he did not fear men he did fear ones whose hearts rang out with the roar of a lion.
But with all his wisdom, in his spirit, lied one central truth:
I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion.
Alexander the Great
