“Most of us have professional or personal roots in Plymouth, and it is a significantly reduced commute for many of us who live on the West Side,” said President of RBD Creative, Dorothy Twinney. “With the construction on I-96, it was a move that became imperative. We loved being part of Detroit’s comeback, but it was just time to come home to Plymouth.”
With some of its team members having already worked together for upwards of 15 - 20 years, RBD Creative sought a space that accommodated its growth and needs. “We had very cool space in a historic carriage house in Detroit, but it was not conducive to our processes and operations,”
RBD Creative used local real estate company Remerica to find the property, located at 9345 N. Haggerty (on the southeast corner of Ann Arbor Rd. and N. Haggerty), and its landlord is local builder S&S Homes, who Haase says has been absolutely wonderful to their team.
Creative Director Brian Townsend, who has more than two decades of design experience, leads RBD Creative’s design team. The company is proud to include the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), Genesis Genetics (Plymouth), Sterling Services (Canton), The Rattlesnake Club (Detroit), and Alliance Benefit Group (Bingham Farms) among its client roster as it continues its growth. Twinney says a broader social media offering is most likely next on its list, along with developing the niche it seems to have made for itself in the food industry. “It’s exciting to see something you started and believed in before anyone else did really flourish. I couldn’t be more excited to see what the future brings.”
