Blue Horizon Charitable Foundation Supports Edeyo Hope Ball

NEW YORK - Aug. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Stephen Baldwin hosted this year’s annual Edeyo gives Hope Ball at the Historic Liberty Theater in New York City recently. The event was beautiful, moving, and inspiring and raised much-needed funds for the Edeyo Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the future for children in Haiti through education. The foundation is co-founded by Unik Ernest and Michael Pradieu.

The event welcomed more than 300 supporters, raising funds toward improving the future of children in Haiti by rebuilding schools and providing students with a safe learning environment, as well as healthy food and water on a daily basis.

Brian Mehling, M.D., chairman of BHCF said, “The Edeyo School in Haiti was completely destroyed in the earthquake of January 2010. Its goal is to turn catastrophe into opportunity, and I am proud to be aligned with such an outstanding organization. We are here to show our support for Edeyo’s efforts."

BHCF President Eddie Amarante added, "I am very glad to learn that Edeyo is building a new high-quality, innovative, and sustainable community school for the children of Bel Air in Haiti. It is a privilige to be here tonight, these children really need our help. "

The party featured a reception, an elegant sit-down dinner, and a silent auction with guests including: Stephen Baldwin, Unik Ernest, Michael Pradieu, Dr Brian Mehling, Eddie Amarante, Karina Tyler, Zartha Griffin, and Katarina Novakova, among others. Following the reception, attendees were treated to an award ceremony, seated dinner with authentic Haitian cuisine and live auction. Closing the special event was a live performance by Grammy Award wining singer Fabrizio Sotti and set by DJ Nick Cohen.

Blue Horizon Charitable Foundation is a registered 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) organization dedicated to increasing the awareness of global inequalities in healthcare, as well as providing medical care and training to adults and children in impoverished areas. Edeyo is a non-profit organization based in New York City, that has been devoted to providing a high-quality free education, food, water, and social support to the children of the impoverished Bel-Air neighborhood, in Port-au-Prince (Haiti). Since its grassroots beginning in 2007, Edeyo has grown to support a school of 331 elementary school students, providing them with a haven of safety and opportunity.
