What:         Central Veterinary Associates will present a low-cost microchip clinic at the annual Pet Adoption Fashion Show. For a donation of $25, veterinarians from CVA will help protect pets with a Home Again microchip. Proceeds will benefit Kids Adopt A Shelter, a national not-for-profit organization that links children and their families to shelters to comfort and support animals waiting for homes, and the New York City Veterinary Emergency Response Team, a 501c(3) non for profit organization that provides and oversees all veterinary care in times of crisis for New York City and its five boroughs.

The American Humane Association reports that nearly 10 million dogs and cats are lost in the U.S. every day. Microchipping pets will significantly decrease the chances of being lost or stolen, and ensure that they can be found safely and in a timely manner.

In addition to the clinic, there will be a Pet Adoption Fashion show where, for a $10 donation, owners will have the opportunity to let their pet strut its stuff on the runway and have their pets’ picture taken. There will also be a Chinese auction, a 50/50 raffle, vendors, face painting, a dunk tank, and more. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction will also go to benefit Kids Adopt a Shelter.
