Waypoint Films and Vermilion Team Up to Bring Web Spots to Life for Door to Door Organics

BOULDER, Colo. - July 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Waypoint Films Inc., a cutting-edge video production company based in Boulder, Colorado, was recently approached by local creative shop, Vermilion, to produce web spots for their client Door to Door Organics, which partners with farmers to bring fresh, organic produce and natural groceries right to your doorstep. Vermilion Account Manager, Kate Young, first reached out to Jed Mortenson of Waypoint Films in need of a small and nimble, yet experienced crew to develop the quick-turn project.

Due to time and budget constraints, production had to be completed quickly and efficiently in a single day shoot. A combination of professional talent along with friends-and-family were used in the commercial, which gave it a very real and down-home feel. The tone was further enhanced by Los Angeles, California based DP, Will Myers, who director Jed Mortenson of Waypoint Films enlisted as an on-set short-hand for the spot, having worked together regularly over the last eight years.

Supporting production, was an experienced team of experts hand selected by Mortenson, including Boulder based lighting company Lightfactory and editor, Hanneh Rudkilde, who cut the advertisement. Color grading was completed in Los Angeles by colorist Chris Cavanaugh, while Boulder’s Alcheh & Hunt provided the music and coordinated the voice over through a Vancouver, BC based studio. Alcheh & Hunt also edited the VO and music, and provided the final mix to round out the audio for project.
