Atlantic Beach Country Club Enjoying Brand Loyalty

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. - July 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlantic Beach, FL (July 17, 2014) – Brand loyalty is something every company strives for, but at Atlantic Beach Country Club, their residents and members are taking it to a whole new level.  The new logo for the country club is a multi-colored sea turtle and it is showing up in the most remarkable places, even traveling the globe.

The Atlantic Beach Country Club logo has been spotted and photographed in a multitude of places, including on shirts, hats and airplane banners at The Players, in Augusta at The Masters Tournament, in Rome, Paris, Sweden, Italy, Estonia, Canada, and Alaska.

There are even members of the country club who painted the turtle on their house.

Mary Roberts and Sam Froio were long-time members of the former Selva Marina Country Club and are among the many who have since joined the brand new Atlantic Beach Country Club.  They bought a home in the Selva Marina area in 1997 and face the tee on Hole #2 of the golf course and later added on a covered lanai.  They were looking for something to put in the gable area where there was a big empty space.  They wanted a plaque or a sea turtle, but could not find exactly what they were looking for.

Sam and Mary both loved the new ABCC logo as soon as they saw it and decided to paint it on their house in that space.  As an accountant and artist, Mary loved the symmetry, and how the logo incorporated all of the colors of the earth, sky and water.  They loved how all of the little details in the logo told a story of life at the beach and felt it closely reflected everything they love about coastal living.

Mary used oils to paint the turtle.  The peak of the gable was 15’ off the ground so she was high on a ladder, against the wind, paints in one hand, brush in the other, with Sam holding the ladder.  Mary used a newspaper to cut out the turtle for a guide, but the wind was blowing too hard, so she decided to just freestyle it. Sam was worried about her being up on the ladder like that, but Mary knew she could do it.  She persevered, remained balanced and finished the sea turtle. They were both amazed at how beautiful it looked when she was done.

“Sam and I are both so excited about the changes and improvements at Atlantic Beach Country Club, and are looking forward to enjoying some time on the golf course and at the country club,” said Mary. “We absolutely love the ABCC logo. Sam proudly displays it on his SUV and cap, and is always keeping a sharp eye out for it around town.  I was a little nervous about using the logo, but I'm so glad to hear that it's brought joy to the developers and the ABCC team.”

They have relatives in Sweden and made sure to send them hats with the logo.  They want to help the sea turtle travel around the world, as seems to be a common practice among the club members.

Over the years, Sam had watched the gradual deterioration of the old Selva Marina clubhouse and course.  He was worried about the value of his home as a result.

They are thrilled with the new Atlantic Beach Country Club clubhouse and the new golf course design.  Roberts and Froio were among the first to buy a new membership.  Every day they watch the progress on the golf course and know that soon they will be able to sit on their lanai with their sea turtle painting above them and watch people tee off on the #2 hole.

Atlantic Beach Country Club is selling quickly with 148 of the 178 homesites already sold.  Membership sales have surpassed their original expectations and the residents of Atlantic Beach have embraced the new community and club.
