Twin Cities Churches & National Ministry come together to see a move of God

MINNEAPOLIS - July 17, 2014 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX, July 17, 2014 – In one week, (July 21 - 27) volunteers from across the nation will gather in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis-St. Paul) to reach the region with the message and love of Jesus. Originally launched by Dallas-based Time to Revive (www.timetorevive.com), reviveTWIN CITIES is a non-denominational partnership effort with local churches who have pledged over 6,700 laborers to join in the mission. The outreach will also include over 260 out-of-town believers from 18 states and across 2 countries. The outreach seeks to unite the church in the Twin Cities by gathering and encouraging 10,000 believers to share their faith in order to seek revival in Minnesota and the Nation. reviveTWIN CITIES is Time to Revive’s tenth city-wide outreach in an effort to cover all fifty states and equip the saints for the return of Christ.

The vision for reviveTWIN CITIES was born when two staff members from Hosanna! Church (www.hosannalc.org) in Lakeville, MN, Sheri Richards, Kingdom Expansion Coordinator and Tim Hatt, Kingdom Expansion Pastor intersected with our ministry:

“We first heard about Time to Revive in 2010. Since then, our church has been involved in outreaches in four states. It isn’t just another thing to do. It is life-transforming! Local Christians get equipped, encouraged, and challenged. Churches become united. People have a new or renewed view of Christ. Communities are impacted.

Their approach to the sharing the Gospel is simple, it’s conversational, engaging, and honoring. They teach us to love, listen, and discern with each encounter. We have normal conversations about life. No guilt. No pressure. Just love.

It has been stated that some of the world rejects the church, because they think that God is a control freak, based on the actions of the church and Christians today. Too many well-meaning Christians approach non-Christians as a project, which results in the same feeling that you get when you walk on a used car lot. But Time to Revive is different! They want non-Christians that spend time with us, to leave feeling blessed, hope-filled, and encouraged.

         The Bible verse in Habakkuk 1:5 comes to mind.  “Look at the nations and          watch, and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days          that you would not believe, even if you were told."

Partnerships with local churches, media and other ministries is essential and while over 80 churches are represented by the volunteer base, over 40 local churches have come together in the Twin Cities and pledged over 6,600 laborers; Grace Church (Eden Prairie), Hosanna! (Lakeville), Plymouth Covenant Church (Plymouth), Iglesia de Dios Monte Sinai (Minneapolis), Maranatha (Minneapolis), Our Redeemer Oromo Evangelical Church (Minneapolis) and many more.

Not only have churches jumped on board in unity, but local media, ministries and even national partners have jumped in to serve alongside this outreach.  Radio Stations: AM980KKMS, PraiseFM; Local Ministries: TransformMN, Street Level Ministries, Heart of the City Ministry, Pulse, Sonshine Festival, MetroHope Recovery Ministries; National Partners: Texas Baptist Men, National Day of Prayer; International Ministry: East West Ministries.  We believe we will see a national move of God during this week!

For the seven days of reviveTWIN CITIES, volunteers will reach out to the community through conversation in the mornings and afternoons.  Each day starts at 7:00 a.m. at North High Football Field & Track (1801 Fremont Ave. N, Minneapolis, MN 55411) and opens with prayer.  The event is free for everyone.  We do ask that you RSVP for the outreach at reviveTWINCITIES.org by clicking “Sign Up Here”!  Prayer time at 7:00 a.m., followed by breakfast at 8:00 a.m., kicks off each morning.  Daily outreaches will be in regions across the city and will start at 9:30 a.m. continuing through till supper time at 5:30 p.m.  At 7:00 p.m. each evening, worship services, led by local worship leaders will refresh and restart our volunteers.  All who join in will be served breakfast, lunch and dinner by the Texas Baptist Men’s (https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.texasbapti...) teams.  Founder and CEO, Kyle Lance Martin says the event is intended to spur on the church in the Twin Cities and beyond and to prepare the nation for the return of Christ.

Hosanna! Church is a congregation of over 7,000 people, located in Lakeville, MN which seeks to “Advance God’s Kingdom everywhere, one person at a time,” where you can find opportunities to worship, grow in your faith, and make an impact that fits the way God has uniquely wired you.

Texas Baptist Men trains volunteers and coordinates efforts in providing prompt assistance to disaster victims. Texas Baptist Men has been involved in Disaster Relief in Texas and around the world since 1967.
