The 2014 “Feed a Furry Friend” Foodraiser is in Full Swing

LARAMIE, Wyo. - July 17, 2014 - PRLog -- The Doo House Inc. – Pet Waste Removal and Pet Services is once again trying to “Feed a Furry Friend.”  After a successful inaugural “Feed a Furry Friend” Foodraiser in 2013, The Doo House Inc. is doing all it can do in 2014 to once again “Feed a Furry Friend.”

This year all dog food donated during the Foodraiser will be donated to the On Point for Animals Sanctuary (OPAS) based in Mills, WY.

The “Feed a Furry Friend” Foodraiser officially kicked off on July 7, 2014, but is just now getting into full swing.  No official end date has been announced but it will run most of the summer.

“After a very successful inaugural Foodraiser in 2013 it was natural for us to do it again this year,” said Matthew Blaylock owner of The Doo House Inc.  “We collected over 700 pounds of food last year and our goal this year is 1000 pounds or more.”

In 2013 The Doo House Inc. only collected food in the Laramie and Cheyenne, WY area.  This year The Doo House Inc. has expanded to Casper, WY, and the surrounding areas too.  With the expansion The Doo House Inc. would like to see citizens in all three cities step up and help them get to their 1000 pound food goal.

During the “foodraiser” anyone who would like to donate can call The Doo House Inc. at 307-222-9877 and schedule a pick-up of donated food.

“Pet food is the one thing that most animal rescues struggle to furnish to foster families,” added Blaylock.  “I know OPAS is newer non-profit animal rescue in Wyoming so I thought it would be a great idea as they do all they can to get up and running.”

The “foodraiser” is not just to benefit dogs, the “foodraiser” is designed to help all pets.  Food for dogs, cats, horses, and more will be accepted.  All pet food will be distributed to non-profit rescue groups on an as-needed basis.
