“It is such an honor to receive the National Parent Group Award,” says DSAJ Executive Director Debbie Revels, who attended the convention this year with her son. “The Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville is continually committed to excellence and to be awarded and recognized among a peer group of over 300 affiliates is very rewarding and inspiring.”
Every year the NDSC Convention draws thousands of people from around the world to review the latest updates on Down Syndrome research and to network with fellow Down Syndrome support organizations. DSAJ attends every year in order to increase the reach of their local outreach efforts. DSAJ’s most popular community event is their Annual Buddy Walk, which will take place in Jacksonville on November 12, 2014.
