Genesys Works (http://www.genesysworks.org/ “The 2014 Think IT Charity Golf Event was a tremendous success and helped raise both money and awareness for the Genesys Works program,” said Jeff Tollefson, Executive Director of Genesys Works- Twin Cities. “It’s great to see the Twin Cities technology community rally behind the students and mission of Genesys Works as we work together to develop our next generation of IT leaders.” The event, which took place on Monday, June 30, 2014, included a full round of golf at Minneapolis Golf Club, lunch, and concluded with a silent auction and dinner banquet for all golfers. “Think IT’s members believe in building a Twin Cities’ corporate IT community that is better able to harness the talents of the area’s entire population,” Red Wing Shoes CIO and VP of Multichannel Commerce Joe Topinka was one the many tech executives who attended the event to support Genesys Works. “It was very rewarding talking to the Genesys Works students; they are so energetic and have such a positive outlook on their future,” Topinka said. “Thanks to Think IT and Genesys Works for making a difference in our community and helping our future IT leaders get such a great start.” Think IT and its leadership would like to express their gratitude to all the corporate sponsors, golfers and volunteers who made the event a success, and are looking forward to next year’s outing.
