Carlos Segrera Named to South Florida's “40 Under 40” Executives

MIAMI - July 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Executive search and recruitment firm Segrera Associates today announced that its founding president and CEO, Carlos Segrera, is a South Florida Business Journal 2014 “40 Under 40” honoree.  The annual award recognizes the best-and-brightest professionals under the age of 40 for their professional success and impactful contributions to the region’s civic and business communities.  Segrera was selected from a pool of 1,400 nominees.

In 2011, Segrera established Segrera Associates by merging his prior experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm and, later, a start-up professional-staffing company, which he eventually helped to sell to a national executive-search firm.  Over the past three years, he has more than doubled his staff and grown Segrera Associates exponentially throughout the region.

In addition, Segrera continues to focus his efforts on giving back to the community where he grew up.   As a member of the University of Miami’s School of Business Administration Mentor Program, he meets regularly with accounting and finance students from his alma mater and shares his personal and professional experiences to help them prepare for and transition into careers outside of the classroom.  In addition, he serves on the board of directors of the YMCA of Greater Miami and is a founding member of the Y’s Young Professionals Network, which establishes programs to engage up-and-coming executives in the organization and work together to achieve its mission.
