NEW Grant Presentation Video helps Outstanding Causes & Artists obtain vital funding!

NEW YORK - July 16, 2014 - PRLog -- The Jazz for Peace Foundation Empowerment Grant Program rose from the ashes of the horrifying tragedy of 9/11 starting with a poem that was written witnessing those very events on a rooftop less than a quarter of a mile away from Ground Zero on that fateful morning. Since then they have set a Philanthropic Record by providing a Helpful Step Forward to over 850 Outstanding Causes through their acclaimed Empowerment Grant program.

Upcoming highlights include their 5th Tour of Africa in October, 2014 where they will perform in Limbe, Cameroon for African Centre for Community and Development; Yaounde, Cameroon for Help for African Students (H.A.S.); and Kampala, Uganda for Association for Promotion of the Youth (APY).

African Centre for Community and Development is committed to Sustainable development, transparency in governance and management of natural resources and peoples, gender equality, sustainable agriculture, poverty alleviation, communication for development, Conservation and Ecotourism, democracy and guarantees of human rights. Ivo Arrey Mbongaya is Founder and Director of African Centre for Community and Development. He has organized outstanding events including “Outreaching to Orphans”, “Fighting Poverty and Engaging Conservation through Sounds”, Conference on “Sustainable Strategies and Practices for Development” among many. He has interviewed several hundreds of diverse stakeholders as entry points to better development management, curb poverty, educate and vulgarize knowledge and experiences in Africa and the world. He is also author of many academic articles on diverse aspects of sustainable development, a prolific poet, researcher, radio host and painter. He is Group Owner of Holistic Approach to Sustainable Development on LinkedIn which attracts experts and users from across the globe. Africa Centre for Community and Development also enjoys Special Consultative Status with Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.

HelpforAfricanStudents, Inc (H.A.S.) is committed to the following:
(1) To facilitate their access to the millions or billions of dollars scholarship money that floods the internet each day. (2) To raise awareness among members of the international community, governmental agencies and other Non for Profits working in various areas of Africa, on the necessity to zero in on African students as a mean of seeking long term solution for these regions. (3) To initiate, encourage and facilitate networking / exchange of ideas between students (and possibly faculty) from American university campuses and students/faculty on Africans university campuses. (4) Time is mainly to survival and dependence on international aid in Africa, there is a thus a need to raise awareness among African students, themselves, on the key role they could play on the resolution of problem that plague their own continent and most importantly, educate them on the how to take advantage of what the world has to offer, nowadays. (5) To regularly publish newsletters containing latest information regarding upcoming/active scholarships and other training opportunities in the U.S. and around the world. (6) To offer free of charge, via email especially, a helpful hand to students in desperate need of any education related advice and other academic orientation. (7) To sponsor career development related seminars and workshops in various parts of Africa. (8) To sponsor seminars and other educational related events where members of the community, academia, governments and other organizations meet to exchange ideas, suggest solution and implement strategies to promote a better education for African students.
