MANASSAS, Va. - July 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Allstate agency owner, Christine Angles is recognized for her commitment to safe teen driving. Angles recently joined forces with the students of Osbourn Park High School to promote Allstate’s #GetThereSafe program.  This countrywide initiative raises awareness with teens about the serious issue of safe driving.  Encouraging safe driving habits such as wearing seatbelts, not speeding and limiting the number of passengers in the vehicle are all ways to limit the distractions a teen may have while driving.  Students were able to learn more about the dangers of distracted driving and were also encouraged to take a stand against texting while driving.

Manassas, Virginia Allstate insurance agent, Christine Angles, hopes to make an impact on these young drivers that will ensure their safety on the road. Christine stated, “Handing out cell phone pockets and thumb bands was a great way to get the students attention.  I’m hoping that they’ll remember their pledge not to text while driving.” X The TXT® is an initiative where teens are encouraged to sign a pledge against texting while driving.

Americans continue to drive distracted and more teens are dying each year due to car collisions than any other cause. Despite government and state efforts to restrict distracted driving, Manassas drivers need reminders that common distractions like talking on the phone and texting could be fatal.
