While his service to the community reflects in his profession, Paul Lawless volunteers his services with several organizations. Both he and his wife, Lynn Lawless, accepted invitations to be Stewards of Saint Peter with the Papal Foundation, which raises money to support and fulfill Saint Peter’s mission. As another outlet to represent the Catholic community and faith, Paul Lawless also works with the Birthline/Lifeline Pregnancy Care Centers in Palm Beach County as a Knight of Malta. The Order of Malta is a Roman Catholic religious order where its members and Knights express commitment to both the Catholic faith and the community by aiding others suffering from sickness or poverty. His work with the pregnancy centers helps women with unplanned pregnancies find alternatives to abortion by providing information, education and resources at no cost. Paul and Lynn are also members of Legatus, a Catholic organization designed for the CEOs and presidents of various companies to encourage the incorporation of faith into business practice as well as personal life.
“It’s a blessing to come where I come from and be where I am today,” Lawless said. “My mother took care of me and I learned to take care of others.”
While his religious contributions are noteworthy, Paul Lawless services other organizations that have no religious affiliation as well. He actively serves on the advisory council of the Florida Highway Patrol, where business, professional and community leaders throughout the state observe and provide insight on the performance of the Patrol, including the level of quality in its service to the public.
