Along with 22 educational booths and vendors, the celebration will include live music, food trucks, 3 speakers, raffle drawings, nursing portraits and toddler play area. The event will also include “The Big Latch On,” a one-minute period during which women around the world will breastfeed their children simultaneously, uniting a global community of mothers.
The event will be held in the gym of St. Mark’s Catholic Church from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, but donations of canned goods are requested.
Vendors include Gymboree, Go Baby Go, Jamberry, All’s Fair World Gifts and more.
About the Birth and Breastfeeding Alliance: Formed in May of 2014, the Birth and Breastfeeding Alliance is a nonprofit organization based in San Antonio, TX, seeking to provide support and education to mothers and families from birth to early childhood.
