WASHINGTON - July 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Today, the Apple iTunes store is offering the mobile version of Countable (www.countable.us), the political website and app that recently gained the attention of Politico, Wired, and the Today Show, for its unique way of allowing citizens to quickly and easily influence their lawmakers.

“Since the launch of Countable, we saw extremely heavy and frequent use of the website,” said Bart Myers, CEO of Countable. “We decided to push out the mobile version of the app ahead of schedule, to keep up with the intense demand we were seeing for Countable on multiple platforms.  Apple’s decision to offer the app validates our belief that Countable is primed to become the go-to app for Americans who want to make their Senators and Representatives work for them, again.”

In the era of Buzzfeed, when “quick and simple” rules, Countable makes policymaking accessible for constituents in four straightforward ways:

·   It offers a succinct and digestible description of any given piece of legislation in the House and Senate, along with brief pro and con arguments.

·   It provides constituents with a way to tell their Representative and Senators how to vote, with just one tap of their finger.

·   It notifies subscribers if legislation, that may be of interest to them, is coming up for debate, in either chamber, so they can weigh in.

·   It supplies tools to keep users informed as to whether their Representatives and Senators voted the way they were urged to.

In just less than a month after the web version of Countable launched, use of the site was heavy, with roughly 60,000 messages to Congress in the site’s first month on the market.  Users weighed in with their Senators and Representatives on 1155 pieces of legislation.  Additionally, top political consultants, of both parties, have joined Countable’s advisory board – from Democratic presidential campaign manager, Joe Trippi, to George Gorton, the first consultant Arnold Schwarzenegger turned to when he declared his candidacy for California Governor.

Countable (www.countable.us) was launched in May 2014, to give constituents an easy and straightforward way to understand proposed laws, and keep track of, and directly influence, their lawmakers.  The company is founded, led and advised by a team with notable achievements in technology, start-ups, and politics such asSideReel.com, the Bay Partners venture capital firm, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s campaign, and the Howard Dean presidential campaign, which is often credited for revolutionizing the use of technology in politics.
