Peacock Engineering takes asset management into the field

Launches Fingertip for Maximo - Mobile application supporting key business processes in the field

July 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Peacock Engineering Ltd today launches Fingertip for Maximo, a suite of mobile applications supporting Android and iOS devices to provide knowledge and decision support where they count – at the point of activity. The mobile apps promise to transform the way asset and service management organisations manage their business through improved information and communication for engineers operating in the field, enabling them to collaborate in real time at all times.

With Fingertip, staff in front line positions have the information they need to undertake their work and the facility to capture the information required from them to support the next steps in the process. The suite currently includes:

·         - Work Order Updates

·         - Work Assignment Updates

·         - Self-service Service Requestor

Further modules will be added to the portfolio to meet specific market demands.

Fingertip features include:

·         - Hybrid application design

·         - SSL support for secure implementation

·         - Connected and Disconnected operation

·         - Agile framework facilitating new application development

Roger Walker, a director of Peacock Engineering, comments, “It is our aim to provide systems that are reliable and available, with intuitive interfaces to ensure high user uptake and quality data are achieved. Fingertip for Maximo is an exciting development and meets this aim by extending the most used features of Maximo out into the field so that information is recorded in real time as work is undertaken. This should have a positive impact on asset availability and the overall effectiveness of operating equipment.”
