The historic sight of the Old Port (Jacques Cartier Quays) will feel the pulse of bass, and the roar of fans who skank and dance with their favorite artists such as Etana, Maxi Priest, QQ, Kiprich, Alison Hinds, Demarco, Sean Paul, Frankie Paul, Percy Sledge, Zamunda, Sanchez, I-Octane, Marcia Griffiths, and Luciano.
Celebrating 11 years, this years festival is one of the most anticipated on the Montreal Reggae calendar. Organizer Eric Blagrove says “this years’ festival represents a good music mix for our fans, and I think we might add one or two more artists to the bill by the time our weekend arrives!”
Hosted by Irie FM’s Ron Muschette, Howard Stretch Carr and Pat Dillon Moore, additional artists performing include: Chelsea Stewart, Uncle Jonny, Anthony Ash, Baby Romie, Magma, Makoumbe & Zikingkow, Riddim Wise, Stephen Souza, and Nkrumah, as well as DJ features from James Bond, Little Thunder Sound, Energy Squad and more.
In keeping with the festivals relationship with the community, $1 from every ticket purchased from the Friday night show will be donated to charity. In past years, Blagrove Promotions, producers of the Montreal International Reggae Festival, have donated generously to childrens programs across the city.
Gate prices range from $21 CAD for Friday, and $55 CAD for Saturday and Sunday. Prices are higher at the gate. Weekend Passes begin at $100 CAD advance, and VIP passes at $275 CAD.
