Moments after the bowl-in, the Cedar Croft team made up of Robert Ceparano, Felipe Viana and top-rated professional Kris Kampsen, acted quickly with a goal right out of the lineup against $D Ranch team comprised of Dan Coleman, Will Tankard and the highest rated arena polo player in the world, Tommy Biddle.
With goal for goal aggressively matched throughout the game, both teams squared off in the final chukker. The score was tied 10-10 with one minute remaining. As the clock ticked down, Cedar Croft’s Viana maneuvered the ball across the arena to score the championship goal leading them to a 11-10 victory.
Robert Ceparano rode away with Most Valuable Player, exclaiming, “It was an honor just to be playing among some of the world’s best arena players like Biddle and Kampsen, and representing the local and polo community of Long Island makes this moment that much sweeter.”
