Shield Records to Smash Onto Music Scene

ST.JOHN STREET, U.K. - July 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Earlier this month, a brand new record label was launched in London by two Doncaster-based entrepreneurs.

Shield Records, a multi-genre label, was created to give local, national and international recording artists the opportunity to showcase their talents to the rest of the world, whilst providing music enthusiasts worldwide with fresh new sounds and artists. Founded by partners Mr. Devon Chapman and Miss Victoria Gladders, Shield Records in its first few weeks has already signed 15 artists to its roster and released 2 new singles, with many more in the pipeline.

Shield distributes and promotes its artists’ music to over 300 major music retailers, including iTunes, Amazon, Xbox and Last.fm, and offers all the same opportunities and promotional strategies as existing major labels.

Victoria Gladders, Chief Operating Officer of the company said: “The launch of Shield Records has been an exciting and fantastic opportunity; no two days are ever the same and we get hoards of amazing music and stories sent to us every day. We pride ourselves on being a multi-genre label as we can offer almost anyone the chance to be signed and be heard.”

The company is part of a larger offshore conglomerate, Shield Corporation, and already has a London-based office and hundreds of contacts in the music industry, with plans to sign another 30 artists to the label in the next month or so.
