Old Port Seafood is located in Portland Maine and has partnered with several local quality processors to offer wholesale prices to everyone who can handle the minimum quantities. (12 pounds of fresh picked 'claw and knuckle' lobster meat, 30 pounds of live lobster, or 50 pounds of clams are some of the minimums!)  That's the key to the promotion.  Maine can be Made Fresh in your ktichen as long as you are ready to order big.  If you are planning a feast for the family or office, Old Port Seafood can provide you with pounds of fresh picked lobster meat, bushels of clams, or wholesale boxes of live lobster (among many other offerings).  As a result of great negotiations with several large locals processors, "I can offer some very decent UPS rates to the consumer and have our products at their door the next day by 10am" said Murphy.

Using the minimums, Old Port Seafood with its Maine - Made Fresh campaign can get fresh picked lobster meat to you for $23.00 a pound compared to a recent in-store promotion in Maine for $39.00 (as of July 14, 2014).  "Even with the cost of freight, we should come in around 20% less than retail in most cases.  Everytime I ship an order I follow up.  We offer advice on handling, cooking and seasoning.  We offer discounts to repeat customers.  Old Port Seafood accepts Paypal, credit cards and can arrange terms for wholesalers.  We try to make it easy to enjoy the flavor of Maine!" boasted Murphy.  A complete website redesign is in the works, but for now the old and comfortable site remains active.  Ordering is by phone or email.
