SMART teaches people how to learn
SMART brain training helps kids and adults to become expert in critical cognitive skills, called Relational Skills. These skills underlie just about everything we do in school, business, at work and in normal day-to-day decision making and problem-solving.
SMART stands for "Strengthening Mental Abilities with Relational Training" and it is the first “brain training” product developed specifically by education psychologists. Some brain training "games" just focus on working memory, the SMART Brain Training course, we want our users to see this as an educational self-improvement course with real world benefits covers the 4 key areas of "Intellectual Performance"
So SMART brain training focuses on Verbal Comprehension - improve ability to listen to a question and draw upon learned information, Perceptual Reasoning - improve ability to examine a problem, organize thoughts, create solutions, and then test them, Processing Speed - increase attention to quickly scan, discriminate between and order visual information and Working Memory - increase the ability to memorize new information, hold it in short-term memory and concentrate
Already, The SMART brain training system, which has been scientifically supported by dozens of published studies, provides practice at the skills which the SMART psychology team have shown to be the basic building blocks of intelligence. Fun and easy to use, this revolutionary new approach to brain training was founded and developed by a team of psychologists from the field of applied behavior analysis, a branch of psychology revered for its highly successful development of a wide range of educational techniques. The SMART brain training method, was until now only availble via psychologists for private fee-paying clients, is now available online to the general public with a free IQ assessement and free some free modules.
The SMART Training system was developed by RaiseYourIQ which is a National University of Ireland, Maynooth, campus company. Psychologists Dr. Bryan Roche and Dr. Sarah Cassidy who are published authors and lecturers, developed the SMART intellectual skills training or brain training over several years across numerous laboratory studies and studies within the education system. Dr. Roche and Dr. Cassidy are still actively involved with education research.
