SpaceTek Signs MOU with Excalibur Almaz

PHOENIX - July 13, 2014 - PRLog -- SpaceTek Corporation has signed  a Memorandum of Understanding with Excalibur Almaz for the operation of its Salyut Space Station under a planned joint venture.  Excalibur Almaz currently owns the Salyut Space Station which is housed in the UK along with two Almaz Re-Entry Vehicles.

Stiphan Beher, CEO of SpaceTek is confident that the joint venture will produce significant opportunities in the developing market for private Space Station operations, combining EAL’s compliance and technical expertise with SpaceTek’s investment and marketing channels.  Stiphan Beher stated “this is a major milestone for SpaceTek which has had strong interest from European and Asian investors, and sets us on course to achieve our 2018 launch. “

The Salyut Space Station will be capable of accommodating up to seven crew in a volume of 90 cubic meters for periods up to six months and will orbit at 250 miles above Earth and is built by Russian rocketry company NPO Mashinostroyenia (NPOM).
