National Park Service Presents Douglas Jimerson, Civil War Comrades, 7/12/14, Ft. Stevens, Wash., DC

Don't miss this very special occasion to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Ft. Stevens. At this battle, President Lincoln was nearly struck by a bullet from Confederate gunners under the command of General Jubal Early. President Lincoln was splattered by the blood of the surgeon next to him, who was struck by a Confederate bullet. Historian Ed Bearss is a featured speaker.
