BUFFALO, N.Y. - July 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Contemporary Orthodox Christian singer/songwriter, Jim Giatas, has taken down his commercial website and will no longer be offering his original music for sale.  All of Jim’s music can be heard for free at http://www.indieheaven.com/artists/jimgiatas.  “As an artist and writer, and especially as an Orthodox Christian, it is very liberating to become a non-commercial Gospel musician.  All too often, the world tells us to go various ways when the Lord Jesus calls us to follow Him in the opposite direction. This is never more true than in today’s music business.”  Walking by faith, Jim does not want to incorporate as a non-profit organization and cannot ask for donations or offer tax deductions for gifts.

“My concert performances have always been free admission events and this will now be the same for my recorded music over the internet.”  Jim does not manufacture physical compact discs, DVDs, LPs, or cassettes for sale.  “Most of all, I want to be pleasing to God and this is the direction He is leading me."

Jim Giatas (The "i" is silent and the "a" is soft) is a non-commercial Orthodox Christian singer/songwriter who proclaims the good news of life in Christ.  In these perilous end-times, Jim is blessed with a clear sense of vision as a serious artist who writes and performs songs with uncompromising lyrics firmly based in the Holy Scriptures and in the Holy Tradition of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Orthodox Church   In this age of confusion, compromise, secularization, and the dulling of our doctrinal acuity, we emphasize apostolic tradition, continuity, and conservatism over a 2,000 year history.

Jim has accepted the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ as his great and only lifework - to forsake all and to lead people to God through Orthodox Christianity.  The life of Christ richly dwells in Jim as he ministers in spiritual songs, singing with grace in his heart for the Lord.
