Martial Artist and Hollywood Star Scott Adkins Pays a Special Visit to Midlands PKA Kickboxing

July 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Today, Scott Adkins, martial artist and Hollywood actor, attended the West Hallam Community Sports Centre in Ilkeston, Derbyshire as part of a three hour seminar.

In total, sixty PKA students attended the event and Scott Adkins took time out from his busy schedule so that he could be there in person; Scott Adkins taught a separate junior only section as part of the seminar.

Commenting on the visit, Lee Jones, co- owner of Midlands PKA Kickboxing, said:

"We are very lucky to have Scott teach us such a special seminar during his busy filming schedule, it’s not every day a Hollywood film star visits our local town!"

"Nowadays, with nearly all films containing CGI, it’s a testament to Scott’s skills as a lifelong martial artist that he can do what he does on film in real life!"

"It has been a fantastic display of skill from Scott and a great show of support from our students who attend these seminars. We always aim to give our students something special outside of their regular kickboxing classes."

Scott Adkins is known for being generous with his time and he often takes part in inspirational seminars with martial arts groups.

UK-born Scott Adkins started his career as a martial artist; his skills helped Adkins to attract the attention of movie producers and the talented martial artist was soon appearing alongside Hollywood superstars such as Jackie Chan, Jason Statham and Jean Claude Van Damme.

In later years, Adkins won many roles in mainstream movies and he went on to appear in several feature films including Undisputed II: Last Man Standing. In the UK, Scott Adkins is well-known for his role in the BBC drama Holby City and his appearances in the daytime drama Doctors.
