Clues will be released hourly during event hours, 8a-8p Friday and Saturday and 8a-2p Sunday. To obtain clues, participants should follow the Carlisle Events’ Twitter page (@CarlisleEvents)
“We’ve been in business for 40 years and so many people have supported us, we decided we’d like to do this again and have some more fun,” noted Carlisle Events’ co-owner Bill Miller, Jr. “This was very popular during our Ford weekend and it’s just another way for us to give back. We frequently make direct donations, but this time around, we wanted to do something a little different and give back to our onsite guests and those within the community.”
How much money are Bill and Lance Miller offering? To know means finding envelops and opening them! Each contains a random amount. In addition, envelopes may be anywhere on the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds or in designated areas of downtown Bloomsburg. Those locations will be limited to any business that immediately boarders the fairgrounds as well as on Main St. between Railroad St. and Lightstreet Rd./East St. junction on the north end of town.
PLEASE NOTE…no envelopes will be placed at a business in any manner that would generally interfere with business. The same goes for those placed on the fairgrounds. No envelopes will be positioned in a manner that would hinder or impede those enjoying the event. Also, no shovels or tools are required. In most cases, nothing will need to be moved or overturned. There is no reason to unearth trees or plants or haphazardly flip over tables, chairs or furniture. Finding an envelope is more so based on thinking, logic and reasoning. Carlisle Events encourages participants to be courteous at all times to people and businesses while participating.
Further, clues specific to each envelope will be pushed out hourly via the aforementioned Social Media pages of Carlisle Events and supported by #HiddenCashBloom. Multiple tweets may occur within the hour and/or clues offered may reference multiple envelops, both onsite and within downtown Bloomsburg.
“We want everyone in the area to have some fun,” added co-owner Lance Miller. “I haven’t seen Bill this enthusiastic in quite some time. We both encourage everyone to play along and find the cash. As a staff, we love coming north this time of year for this event and this is our way to give back and saying thanks.”
