MANSFIELD, Texas - July 14, 2014 - PRLog -- High school students interested in leadership development and personal financial education are invited to apply for the fall term of the Texas Trust Credit Union Youth Advisory Council. Nominations for the council are being accepted all this month.

The Youth Advisory Council provides leadership training and teaches students basic financial skills that can help members successfully manage their money throughout their adult life. The Council also participates in a service project and volunteers at community events sponsored by Texas Trust. Up to 20 students will be selected to serve on the Council.

The Fall 2014 Youth Advisory Council will serve from August through December 2014. High school students living in Arlington, Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Grand Prairie, Hurst, Kennedale, and Mansfield are eligible to join the Council, which will hold bi-monthly meetings at the Texas Trust headquarters facility at 5850 W. Interstate 20, Suite 100  in Arlington.

High school students interested in joining the Council must apply by July 31. Council members receive a stipend for their service upon completing all of the monthly requirements.
