Starting the company over 2 years ago has been a vigorous feat for the young entrepreneur with so much adversities and setbacks. Having to deal with several company restructures and business being slow due to the influx in magazine creation by other publishers, Rueben Wood has definitely overcame what some would call the struggle.
In a recent interview Rueben said,"I'm launching the I Am Spaced Out Movement for advertisers and the consumers to bring more content and awareness to both sides of the industry. I have come to terms with the fact that advertisers are tired of the same conventional methods of advertising, and promotion, and with so many gimmicks abroad it is hard for anyone to do business with you. I also realized that it's time for me to change the typical way advertisers make revenue or use the online market to bring results."
Since his statement Wood has been hard at work to create a viral campaign for both the online community and grass root/physical as well. By doing so he will bridge the gap for advertisers and consumers looking for there products or services.
Also Wood closed a deal with Sony, that also gives way to a new venture by the SOM brand, SOM Radio Live! SOM Radio Live is an internet radio station, with the rights to pay royalties to artist for music spins, and give advertisers a new leverage in overall reach. Having so many aspects of media being brought into one, Spaced Out Magazine has surely created a company for success with the means to do more than brand, market, promote, and advertise.
Currently Wood has released a new apparel start up called, "Line X" by Spaced Out Magazine. With this new venture it will create a asset to the companies reach and new opportunities. Line X is a upscale fashion design and is set to be released in the fall, with prototypes available to purchase on the site.
