State Rep Candidate Announces Walk to the State House

Steve Stanganelli Will Walk the District and Raise Funds for Charity

AMESBURY, Mass. - July 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Steve Stanganelli, a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and an independent candidate for the open First Essex State Representative seat serving Amesbury, Newburyport and Salisbury, announced today that he plans to walk the district to introduce himself and his candidacy to area residents.

“I’m planning on ‘running’ for state rep by walking door-to-door,” the Amesbury resident noted.

“I’ve got a new pedometer and I’m ready to start my trek,” Stanganelli said.

“I’m planning on walking my way to the State House through the neighborhoods of Greater Newburyport,” Stanganelli shared.  “And I’ll be posting my progress on my campaign Facebook page,” the independent candidate added.

“I want to use this as an opportunity to let people get to know me and the ideas I want to focus on to improve college affordability, education and retirement security.  These are important issues that I see impacting families in my planning practice and I know we can all do better,” Stanganelli, principal of an independent fiduciary financial planning practice based out of Amesbury, noted.

More importantly, Stanganelli wants to use his walks to find out what’s important to working families in the area.  “A representative has to represent. So this is a great opportunity for me to find out what’s on the minds of people and business owners to help them.”

Stanganelli also plans on tracking his mileage with his new pedometer and personally donating forty-cents for every mile walked. Proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Lower Merrimack Valley in Salisbury.  “I’m in this race because I want to help people. And this is one small way that I can do that,” said the father of three. “And Boys and Girls Clubs are a great resource for kids and families in the area.”
