Volley America will be hosting beach volleyball tournaments every weekend this month.  East End Volleyball will run a tournament every Saturday and Sunday in Long Beach, NY.  EEVB will have a junior tournament on Saturday, July 26.  Also on the 26^th, EEVB is hosting a tournament in Newport, RI at Easton’s Beach.  Winners of Men’s and Women’s open will receive a room and free entry to the Atlantic City Big Shot Volleyball Championships, sponsored by Bally’s Casino.  Southern Connecticut Volleyball will be giving away a lion share of $1500 in a Big Money event on July 19 – 20 in New Haven, CT.

         East End Volleyball will have a fundraising coed 6’s tournament on July 19 in Long Beach, NY.  All proceeds will go towards Kennedy’s Cause, a non-profit organization founded to raise awareness for Lymphatic Malformation and to raise much needed funds to support the research for a cure.  Kennedy is a 16 year old girl who was born with lymphatic malformation.  With the help of family and friends, she is trying to raise funds for research that will hopefully lead to better treatment options for her and for others who have the disease.  To learn more about Kennedy’s Cause or to make a donation, go online to http://kennedyscause.com/.

The tournaments are sanctioned by Volley America, the largest grass roots program in the US. Volley America offers tournaments, clinics and leagues creating opportunities for players of all levels to improve their game. Players who really excel can qualify for the Pro Tour through EEVB’s top events.

Players of all skill levels will be eligible for play in the tournaments. There will be divisions for intermediate and novice level events with players competing for merchandise prizes from 4C Totally Light 2Go, Spalding, Rider Sandals, Reflekt Polarized, Sprout Watches, Bally’s Casino, Sports Authority, SOB Volleyball Vacations, Karch Kourt net systems, Dig Magazine, Sportime, Horry County, Spike Key, Volley America and South Shore Outdoors.

Tournament play will start at 9 am on Saturday and 10 am on Sunday. Player check in is one hour prior to start time. Men's and Women's Open, AA, A, and B Divisions will play on Saturday. Coed Open, AA, A, and B teams will play on Sunday.  Admission is free for all spectators who are encouraged to come early for a front row seat.
