Building on the success of last year’s Advisory Leaders Forum event at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA, this year’s event at the Yale School of Management brought together executives and industry thought leaders drawn from among LPL Financial product partners to discuss key topics and best practices for building and strengthening the practices of top fee-based independent advisory firms.

As part of this year’s Advisory Leaders Forum, Robert J. Shiller, winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Economic Science, and professor of economics and finance at Yale, joined with other Yale professors to deliver cutting-edge content on topics ranging from, the Housing Market and the Economy to the Changing Healthcare Landscape. Yale School of Management Deputy Dean Andrew Metrick, who is a professor of finance and management, presented advisors with a case study on the Yale Endowment, which detailed how the endowment has pioneered a focus on alternative investments and real assets as key drivers of performance.
