Civil Rights Anniversary spotlights “The Hood Aint The Same”
Draze’s most recent single “The Hood Ain’t The Same” will be featured as a part of the program to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. The music video highlights the effects of gentrification in the inner cities across America, and has been making news nationwide. Draze understands the civil rights issues connected to our time, which makes him a great person to bridge the gap between those who marched in 1964 and those who carry on the struggle today. “Civil Rights for African Americans remains an intergenerational struggle” says community Leader Eddie Rye. “There is no greater feeling than having the legends in your community validate your work. This goes to show that this movement speaks to our struggle today. I am both humbled and honored” says Draze.
Draze is available for interviews. Please contact Francisca Shaw 206.861.4547 to set up a time that is convenient.
