Honor 100 Years of Dodge with a Special Birthday Party in Carlisle

CARLISLE, Pa. - July 9, 2014 - PRLog -- The 2014 season for Carlisle Events has been one of special milestones and celebrations across the board.  While it all starts with a 40-year celebration for the company itself, many shows on the Carlisle schedule have boasted a special celebration of some sort.  The trend continues on July 11 as part of the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals.  While the event itself runs July 11-13 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, it’s the first day of the show that will host some unique fun.

The basis for fun revolves around a 100 year celebration of Dodge.  The party will be just like any other birthday party; but with a twist.  There will be cake via the Carlisle Bakery, special guests including many of the 2014 Mopar Hall of Fame inductees, gifts coming in the form of door prizes for enthusiasts and of course the guest of honor – Dodge!

Party time commences at 12:45 p.m. on and around the Red 102.3 stage and will start with a special walk around of the all-new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.  The walk around will be hosted by automotive expert Steve Magnante and he will detail the nuances of the car and what makes it special.

Immediately after the Hellcat spotlight, Carlisle Events will serve as a regional hub for a national recognition known as Collector Car Appreciation Day.  This day honors the collector car hobby and all those that support it.  Combined with the Hellcat near the stage, additional cars and guests will be present for comments on what the collector car hobby or automotive industry has meant to them.  Carlisle Mayor Tim Scott will also be onsite to recognize Carlisle Events for its role within the hobby, too.

Finally, the fun speeds forward with the 100 year Dodge birthday party.  Included in this party will be various door prizes, sizeable and delicious cakes via the Carlisle Bakery, special guests like the Ramchargers and Golden Commandos and nearly every inductee of this year’s Mopar Hall of Fame.  Plus, nearly a dozen historic Dodge branded vehicles will be positioned on and around the stage, including the General Lee – also a Hall of Fame inductee.

Once each guest has spoken and the official ceremonies have concluded, door prizes will be doled out.  Prizes vary from gift certificates to event partners to the actual scale toy engines that will be placed on the cakes.
