LONDON - July 9, 2014 - PRLog -- (LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, 9 JULY 2014) New legislation requiring large companies to carry out energy audits by the end of 2015 has left many companies unsure of how best to proceed.

To help them understand the requirements relating to Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS), a complimentary webinar is being run by SGS United Kingdom Ltd, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.

“We will explain the key requirements and timeframe of ESOS which will enable organisations to determine if they qualify for the scheme, what will be required of them and the options available to them to demonstrate compliance,” says Terry Coyle, SGS Energy Management Systems Product Manager for the UK.

SGS’s energy specialists will also answer questions during the webinar on Thursday 24 July 2014 at 12pm. Every attendee will receive a complimentary ‘Complying with ESOS’ pack.

People wishing to register for the webinar should go to www.sgs.co.uk/esos-webinar.

“The webinar is just the first step in the SGS programme of training to support companies pursuing ESOS compliance,” says Ana Inacio, SGS Energy Management Systems Specialist. “Through the SGS Academy we offer a wide variety of training courses, including those related to ISO 50001, to help companies implement energy efficient measures and better monitor their energy performance.”
