“It’s a terrific way for families, particularly the kids, to see what life was like nearly 250 years ago as we fought for our independence as a nation,” said Michael Keller Zehnder, Cass River Colonial Encampment Event Coordinator and General Manager of the Bavarian Inn Lodge. “The grounds are perfect, the reinactors are really into the roles they play – and are particularly good at answering questions and explaining things to youngsters of all ages. They really make history come to life.”
There will also be a fashion show and shopping from historical sutlers (that’s what the folks who sold goods and services to the army were called.)
The action will take place from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 19 and from 9:00 am to 4 pm on Sunday, July 20. More information is available at http://frankenmuthriverplace.com/
