PRLog - Jul. 9, 2014 - AUSTIN, Texas -- July 9, 2014 – Austin, TX and Fairhope, AL – TMG Consulting (http://www.tmgconsulting.com/) and Langham Consulting (http://www.langhamconsulting.net/), the utility industry’s most reputable, full-service and independent utility advisory and implementation support consultancies, announced a strategic merger that is effective July 15, 2014.  The combined organization stands alone as the preeminent independent technology advisory firm serving the utility industry today.

The merger will enhance the success of utility clients’ IT projects by leveraging the best, cumulative methodologies and practices gained over TMG’s twenty two years serving investor owned utilities and Langham’s twenty years working with municipal utilities; their combined resumes include 250 utility organizations and 400 projects.

“Success in our business is about people, experience and methodologies; Langham and TMG lead the industry in these three areas,” said Mario Bauer, CEO of the combined organizations, “We are already helping 15 utilities with a variety of planning, procurement and oversight services.  Additionally, our pipeline is strong and some of the most talented people in the industry have reached out to us about potential employment opportunities, which will help ensure that we can meet future demand for services.  We are excited for our future and look forward to providing independent Advisory Services for Investor Owned, Municipal and Cooperative Utilities, and the vendors who serve them, for many years to come.”

In addition to Mario Bauer (CEO), TMG brings Bart Thielbar (Chief Operating Officer), Greg Galluzzi (President & Senior Consultant), Gary Weseloh (Senior Vice President and Senior Consultant) and Alec O’Brien (Vice President and Senior Consultant).  Langham’s contribution to the combined team includes: Gary Thorson (President), Debra Ardoline (Vice President & Senior Consultant), Tim Almond (Vice President & Senior Consultant) Ralph Lousteau (Senior Consultant), Steve Banks (Senior Consultant) and Brooks Yates (Senior Consultant).

The senior leadership team is highly respected in the industry and many are frequent contributors to industry events and publications.  The underlying support team is equally talented and respected.

According to Bauer, “In our industry, people make all the difference and we have the best Advisory Professionals available in the market today.  Our clients desire highly skilled, independent advisors who can help them solve their most complicated technology and business decisions without unnecessary bias toward specific products or downstream services.”

According to Gary Thorson, President of the combined organization, “This union is extremely positive for us and our clients; we are thrilled to be joining forces with TMG. By more than doubling our size means that significantly more utilities benefit from our combined experience and expertise around mission critical systems."
