MANCHESTER, N.H. - July 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Economic Information Exchange Co. (EIE) is pleased to announce its new system and method for rating a product by measuring, authenticating and communicating its economic impact to any given geographic area has been granted U.S. Patent No. 8,768,859. Once a manufacturer’s product has gone through the Economic Impact Rating Assessment(tm), the manufacturer is given a certification displaying findings on a 5 star scale.

EIE’s international certification mark program is called “Economic Impact Rating” and is issued after EIR auditors have documented and authenticated the labor, materials and other processes used in the product or service and where the dollars go from a purchase by the consumer.

“With more consumers being concerned about Made in America and Local products, they will now be able to see how their purchase effects the local, state, regional, or national” said CEO, Anthony Comito.

EIR’s service empowers manufacturers by providing a cost-effective and quick way for them to differentiate their products from their competition while building brand equity. The use and display of the Economic Impact Rating certification on their product packaging will help create brand loyalty and trust at the consumer level by efficiently communicating how their product impacts the economy at point-of-purchase.

“Our clients have seen great results with our service from decreasing costs by sourcing products closer to manufacturing or service facilities, to helping more Made in America and Local products and services differentiate themselves at the consumer’s point-of-decision: in the store aisle or online,” Comito further adds. “We’re excited to offer such a unique suite of programs to help empower consumers and manufacturers alike.”
