LOVELAND, Ohio - July 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary has reached an all-time high in its efforts to help organizations attract, appreciate, and retain veteran talent. The company’s upcoming Dallas Veteran Job Fair at the Irving Convention Center on Thursday, July 17, 2014 will be the largest event in RecruitMilitary’s 16-year history. More than 96 companies are expected to attend.

Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and Humana/Concentra will sponsor the event, which runs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, personnel who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members.

Peter Gudmundsson, CEO and president of RecruitMilitary and a former officer in the United States Marine Corps, resides in the Dallas area. “Companies and organizations involved in the frontline work of hiring high-quality veteran talent can build robust pipelines at our All-Veteran Career Fairs. There are so many success stories from both sides of the recruiting table at every hiring event we produce,” he said.

That the historic event is occurring in Gudmundsson’s own backyard is just icing on the cake. “Texans have a great support for veterans and military,” he said.

The July 17th event will be the company’s 27th career fair hosted in the greater Dallas area, and surpasses RecruitMilitary’s largest Dallas event held on July 19, 2012 with 85 exhibitors.  The first Dallas event was produced in 2006 with 20 exhibitors participating.

Humana/Concentra is sponsoring the event along with Disabled American Veterans (DAV), and the diverse list of exhibitors also includes USAA, House of Blues Dallas, Schlumberger, Texas Instruments and Home Depot.

“We have something special about to happen in Dallas. Over 96 companies are coming to the largest event in our company’s history, but that number could easily reach 100 as the event draws nearer,” projected Larry Slagel, RecruitMilitary’s vice-president of sales.

The event is free and exclusive to veterans and their spouses.
