Ramsey, NJ – Park Toastmasters has been recognized by Toastmasters International as Select Distinguished Club for their 2013-2014 membership year, the second highest honor bestowed on clubs. This recognition is earned by completing at least seven of ten educational, training, administration and membership goals as indicated in the Toastmasters International Distinguished Club Program and Club Success Plan.
To earn this prestigious recognition the club and its members achieved numerous educational goals pertaining to communication and leadership. Two of our members, Ignacio Cytrynowicz and Christina Cytrynowicz of Warwick, NY earned their competent communicator award while another two members, Maxine Cohen of Airmont, NY and Samantha Honhart of Ridgewood, NJ earned their advanced communicator bronze award. Both of these awards are bestowed on members who complete 10 projects from prescribed toastmaster manuals. The Club Officers consistently achieved high attendance and participation at District sponsored training events, making them well trained to perform club duties in order to better serve club members and the community. Furthermore, Park Toastmasters club exceled with membership and retention goals, which resulted in nine new members joining the club.
Park Toastmasters is the perfect place to become more comfortable speaking in front of others, improve your effectiveness as a speaker and grow in leadership skills. We meet on the second and fourth Friday of each month at 7:15 pm sharp at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 55 Wyckoff Avenue (across from the Ramsey Public Library) in Ramsey, NJ.
