Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association earns 'Certified Guest Service Partner' Designation

Designation will help NHLA provide members with additional educational resources and guide them in customer service needs

LAS VEGAS - July 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association  (NHLA) earned Certified Guest Service Partner designation from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute.

NHLA is  the second state hospitality association to earn the designation.

Diane Gandy and Irving Pamblanco of NHLA completed the Educational Institute’s Guest Service Gold training program and both passed the comprehensive Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) exam, meeting the criteria for state partner status.

According to Lynn Mitchell, chairman of the board of NHLA and vice president for Soleil Management,  NHLA staff can now provide members with additional educational resources and guide them in  customer service needs.

Diane Gandy, CSGP, vice president of organizational development for NHLA, said  the certification exemplifies the commitment of  association staff in providing knowledge, guidance, education and resources for members.  "We are pleased and honored to be the second state in the country to become a Certified Guest Service Partner with the American Hotel and Lodging Association Educational Institute," Gandy said.

Shelly S. Weir, CGSP, vice president, domestic sales for the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, said,   “Guest service is at the forefront of everything we do in the hotel industry.  We congratulate the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association on their outstanding achievement, proving once again that our Partner State Associations lead by example and epitomize great service to the hospitality community in their state.”
