DALLAS - July 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Dallas Baptist University, the America’s Future Series and over 55 corporations will come together at DBU’s main campus for a two-part event dedicated to employing our military and their spouses. This event is free to Veterans, their Spouses and Employers.

A moderated roundtable discussion between heads of Human Resources and senior business executives will share best practices on sourcing, evaluating, onboarding, mentoring, developing and retaining Veterans and their spouses. Following this breakfast roundtable, a Hiring Fair featuring approximately 55 major and mid-sized fast growing companies actively seeking Veterans to fill current jobs will be held in DBU’s Great Hall.

"The America's Future Series is proud to partner with DBU on this incredibly important effort. Both organizations believe that helping warriors and their spouses find their next great mission is one of, if not the, most important things we can do for our military. Veterans need to be part of something and we need their skills and experience. We are extremely impressed with DBU’s focus on supporting our military and military spouses with the right training, education and skills to prepare them to succeed. This is just another example of how the university goes above and beyond to do whatever is needed to help Veterans.” stated America’s Future Series founder David Hamilton.

“We are thrilled to join the AFS and all these companies in helping Veterans and their spouses find meaningful employment. We are very proud that this event features so many companies with active job openings and that all of the companies have committed to having hiring managers onsite to conduct mini-interviews with qualified candidates. We are also gratified to see that extremely senior leaders with large and mid-sized companies are dedicating time and effort to hone their skills at hiring Veterans and their spouses. The willingness of these leaders to share best practices with their peers is a real testament to how serious they are about Veteran employment." followed John Pollard, Director of Corporate Relations for Dallas Baptist University.

As thousands of active duty military return to civilian life, it is vitally important that the skills, abilities, experience and leadership these men and women have in great abundance be utilized to the fullest extent possible. Not only are these Americans deserving of our support, they are qualified, capable and committed. America needs their ethos, character, drive and dedication to help keep it competitive globally. No other natural resource we are blessed with can do as much good for our nation.

We ask that all Veteran organizations, civic organizations, newspapers, radio talk shows, social media outlets, Veterans and their families help spread the word that these employers want to hire Veterans and their spouses. Please ask them to visit http://www.americas-fs.org and let others know about this important effort to employ those who served. We need help getting the word out to Vets. Please step up to help these brave men and women”, asked David Hamilton, Found and Chairman of The America’s Future Series.
